How do deposits & no-show fees work?
A 90-minute balayage with a senior stylist is $240 of chair time. A no-show isn't a missed sale — it's a stolen one. The fix is the same one the restaurants figured out: a credit card on the booking.

Is tilkbook really free?
Yes — the free plan ships with the core: unlimited bookings, your booking page, a digital card, calendar sync and email reminders. You pay only when you outgrow it.
How long does set-up take?
Single-location: 12–30 minutes. Most of that is uploading your service menu. We import from Square, Acuity, Calendly and Setmore on Pro.
Will my clients have to make an account?
No. Bookings are confirmed by an email magic link. Account-less by default; clients can opt in.
Do you integrate with Google Calendar?
Yes — two-way Google Calendar sync, on the free plan. Outlook and Apple Calendar sync are coming soon. Conflicts are caught before the client picks a slot.
Can my whole team have their own calendar?
Yes. Each staff member gets their own working hours, breaks, services and prices. Clients pick the person first, then see only what fits.
Is there an API?
Yes — REST + webhooks on Pro, with an MCP endpoint on Salon. Used by clinics building patient portals and salons piping bookings into custom CRMs.
